Sample Keynote:
          "Urn Your Keep"

Jackie Barnes, LCSW, MBA has 20 years of experience in healthcare and healthcare management.  She combines this history with a unique perspective and warm sense of humor that can only come from working with individuals who are involved in managing their toughest life experiences.   Born as an only child to parents in their mid 40’s and grandparents already in their late 60’s, Jackie necessarily developed an affinity for older folks and a familiarity with the dynamics needed to relate with their experiences.  Many of the over 5,000 seniors with whom she has had the privilege of working have had to deal with the struggles of loss, disease, and end of life issues.  Part of Jackie’s message comes from the fact that some of life’s most important lessons are learned from facing such issues.  The “Lesson of Lingerie & Life” was one such lesson Jackie’s grandmother taught her that always brings a smile to her audience.

The main focus of Jackie’s keynote address, entitled “Urn Your Keep”, combines learned life lessons in addition to those taught from end of life experiences.  “Urn Your Keep” is a probing and entertaining look at the state of the American Work Ethic and includes lessons regarding general Integrity from the perspectives of both the employee and the employer.  Jackie reviews the history and definitions of what we loosely know as the “protestant work ethic” and examines market place trends that have altered the application of that concept.  “Urn Your Keep” creates an eye opening opportunity for reflection and self examination resulting in useful coaching concepts on personal and professional integrity for employers and employees alike.

Jackie Barnes’ techniques are ultimately designed to increase workforce productivity, reduce long-term employee turnover, and improve workplace satisfaction.  The route she travels with her audience to achieve that goal is filled with true to life tales – some stranger than fiction and a challenge to apply the lessons with a close look in the mirror as you evaluate how YOU “Urn YOUR Keep”.
